Free Will Is Bullshit
Liberalism has touched some peoples brains and made them delusional.
Before I begin, I want to state that this is just an exercise in mental masturbation. I am going to say things that will probably make you uncomfortable or challenge your fundamental principles. This is supposed to happen, and we should have good discussions and enjoy ourselves. Not everything has to be some scientific autistic “Well achtually,” shit. Put away your fedora and your pocket protectors. I think we lack the basic ability to update our understanding in our society. The last great philosopher lived, what, 190 years ago? We just assume things are settled science, while our technology drags us forward and changes how we interact with the world and those around us in fundamental ways.
In my last piece, I discussed how the 1950s were not a great time for society. They were amazing economically, but as humans, it was the solidification of the industrial lifestyle, leaving us atomized and completely divorced from multi-generational families.
The 1950s were also a period of time when the mythos of government science and the liberal way became dogma in the hearts and minds of many people. This was the time period when we went from considering ourselves Irishmen, Italians, Poles, and Germans to white people.
Side bar, I had this thought earlier, and I wanted to write about it and even had a picture I wanted to create with it, and I completely lost it over the course of the day. As I started writing this, it just came back to me in the flow of putting words on the screen.
I used to make memes to explain concepts that may take a long time to explain in words or writing. I feel like vibes often work better than words. So I made this tonight to convey the idea that free will is bullshit.
If you ever have a chance, you should read Edward Bernays‘ propaganda.
The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country.
We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society.
Our invisible governors are, in many cases, unaware of the identity of their fellow members in the inner cabinet.
Free will has been promoted by people who have supplanted the structure once filled by an extended family and community network. This structure has been poisoned due to the unrelenting pressure of media education and economic distortions. I once said, “Violence is what happens when reality doesn’t meet expectations.” It doesn’t always have to be violence. Estrangement, hatred, anger, depression, bewilderment, or any other negative emotions can come about from interactions that don’t meet our expectations. Due to how our mind works, the negative interactions we have with the world, be it a snake, a hornet, or another human, stick out and stay sharper than the mundane everyday interactions that we have consistently. This is why a person can spend a lifetime doing the right thing fuck up once, and it feels like a complete betrayal. Our brains do not give the same weight to the thousands of normal interactions as we do to the negative ones. This, of course, is an evolutionary response that kept us alive by ensuring we remember whom to trust and what can harm us.
The problem with thinking that you have free will in modernity is that you are limited in your options of what to do. The structure of the economy gives you a few options as to what you can and cannot choose. The basics of reality, money, gravity, and opportunity limit you in what you can do as a whole. A thousand years ago, you had a routine you followed every day since you were 6, and if you deviated from it, you died. If animals are not fed, they misbehave and wreck structures that you may or may not have the means or ability to rebuild. Today, if you leave for work late, you may get fired and lose your home for nonpayment.
Does this mean you cannot choose that path? No, it does not mean you cannot choose this path, but you are structured towards this path and eventually become terrified of not staying on it. As Red said, “At first you hate these walls, then you get used to them, then you become reliant upon them.”
We have become so reliant upon the systems, addicted to dopamine hits from our smartphones, and used to filling every silence with noise from some entertainment. We unconsciously check our phones when we feel silence or stillness around us.
The ability to even choose something other than what we do is a problem with vision and understanding. We have no idea of other options, so we stay on the path we are on. We keep waiting for a revolution to occur. The main reason it hasn’t is that we haven’t been shown other options for living. Add to this, the number of people who are even remotely aware that things are fucked up is a very small portion of society. We stare at the government propaganda and legal structure while the mass of humanity attempts to circle itself inside the box and change its very being to fit.
When the vast majority of humanity walks around like it’s in an INYA video, while the entirety of the world is on fire, those who see the fire are hesitant to disturb the peaceful. They question whether they are even correct. This, of course, is a good response because most of the time they are not.
This is an algorithmic problem in which people who are disturbed by societal issues are fed more content that highlights those issues.
Are you even aware that your mind is being manipulated? How can you have free will when your mind isn’t even under your control?
Don’t even get me started on the structures of Christianity or white nationalism. These filters create massive issues when it comes to seeing the world. Let me hit you with this one. The entire structure of seeing people as white is a corporate psy op meant to categorize humans from a logistics perspective. Literally, you cannot be a white nationalist and be anti-capitalist structurally. You cannot be a nationalist and be a capitalist. These ideas are mutually exclusive. Nationalism means fighting for your people. If your own people are the ones who are fighting against you, who the fuck are your people? Nationalism decommodifies humans and creates inherent moral structures when interacting with communities and families. These loyalties create friction when conducting operations. How are you to conduct proper cognitive processes when these contradictions live inside your mind, and you have no idea? These are structures in mine as well. Shit, I was raised during the late 80s and early 90s, so the cultural structures I absorbed are insane. Hell, when I am raising my children now, I look at what I was shown as a child and think omg my parents damn near groomed me.
So how can we say we have free will with all this external stimuli and cognitive propaganda pressuring our decisions?
If this seems skitzo or black pilled, relax. The ability to see the structures and material world around the system creates opportunities and allows you to stop being mad at people for acting the way they do. Serenity is a beautiful thing, I think we should all be aiming for. Especially in a world so chaotic and anxiety-inducing.
Anyway, I am paywalling my older stuff because, well, I wanna make a living off of this, and I feel like you guys enjoy my content. So if you would just give me 5 dollars a month, you can rescue an Appalachian from the corporate grind. (((((In the arms of an angel))) You can save a small African child from having flies in thier eyes…. lol.

Quoting the Tao Te Ching “ The truth is not always beautiful, nor is beautiful words always truth” translation: being honest is unpleasant, but necessary.
And liberty .. my father would take the family to dinner on steamed claims once in a while and he never worried about gas for car. Years ago when I had a car I rarely used it except to and from work and I carpooled so every other day. It was too expensive. And if you went to the movies and eat fast food - that was too expensive.
Sure - we have liberties - but too poor to exercise them.
