Man im glad my woman and I are on the same page after reading this. Im a very fortunate man. My woman follows me and walks away from her family that conflict with our goals. Juat this weekend she was hands on with me castrating the spring goats. My family and hers thank we are crazy for living like this, but we dont care.
The temptation to make a joke about an american discovering walking is almost overwhelming.
Good for you, I know from personal experience just taking lots of walks can beat the shit out of the blues.
I used to defend corporations from a capitalist/libterty standpoint but not anymore. The have too much potential to detach from any community and become an unaccountable ruling class, plus even from a captialist perspective, creating an investment market where the only possible input is to invest/divest is not efficient. Sure, in theory shareholders can organise a meeting, fire the board of directors and make direct changes to the company, but they never do. Public choice theory applies to the stock market just as much as government.
There still needs to be some mechanism for finance and incorporation, but I think the answer probably looks more like old school local savings and loan institutions than modern horrors like blackrock.
I did, thanks, it's really is the ebb and flow, the smooth and the rough that makes life worth living, planning, working and achieving things for "me" are things nobody else will do for me.....all good....

Sounds like cancer… but it’s actually chemo. With some cancers it works. With others, it’ll just make you sick until you die. Elderly boomers dismantled my family but I made them pay heavily for it, and I took what was mine. One went to his grave regretting it, and I intend to see his wife does the same. There is no fixing this; there is only vengeance, distance and regret. Somehow my marriage survived and thrived in spite of them and I am grateful.
Get ya car back. An opportunity may present itself that requires a vehicle. In the meantime… walk it off, gain and share clarity and God bless.

Or one can re-debate the “economics” of the 20th century … it’s actually pretty much settled that most people are capitalist about their stuff and socialist about grabbing other people’s stuff. We all agree on this point.
Corporations; no corporation can compete with the United States government and they don’t try. Any of them can be crushed instantly and that’s why most of them went into “partnership” with government, very Junior partners. Paying protection and extortion money doesn’t mean you’re in the gang.
Every generation has to learn to grow up, get on with their own lives, and not worry about what their elders think or expect. It’s the rhythm of life and has nothing to do with “gerontocracy”.
You are close to sorting this out. Once you have, you will pity your parents rather than scorn them.
You already recognize that to be an adult is to be alone… and it’s good.
Some never sort it out. They spend their lives being victimized by the influence of others. That’s a shame… their emancipation is just sitting there in their lap, waiting to be recognized.
